Leeza (LETMEPOKEU) is a non-binary trans queer artist using they/them pronouns. Leeza is born and raised in New York City and has a private tattoo studio in Brooklyn. Leeza studied psychology and dance at Sarah Lawrence College, focusing on mental illness, intimacy, and healing. Leeza’s artwork and creative process focuses on exploring modern day self-expression and coping with mental illness.

Using their personal experiences, tattooing and creating art has given Leeza a positive and educational outlet to spread awareness for mental illness, the LGBTQIA+ community, body and sex positivity. They aim to help people find hope and strength in addition to practicing self love and acceptance by creating a beautiful tattoo and safe tattoo experience.

In 2019, Leeza became committed to pursuing and learning the art of tattooing. After being tattooed in different shops by various artists, Leeza realized that there were few shops that they were able to fully relax and feel comfortable in. Leeza knew that getting a tattoo was an intimate experience, that requires trust and open communication. Leeza began working on building an environment that was open, comfortable and friendly, for clients to get tattooed in. They wanted to create a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community and those struggling with their mental health.
